StudioPilot

What is StudioPilot?

Last updated: 18 August 2026

StudioPilot is AI for music production in Ableton Live. It connects an AI assistant directly to your Live session so it can do real work in it: build and arrange tracks, write drums, basslines and MIDI, mix and master to a reference track, and read your audio the way a producer would, from the waveform and spectrogram to LUFS, key and BPM.

It is made by an independent UK team led by Danny, a music producer, and lives at studiopilotmusic.com. It is not affiliated with other products that share the StudioPilot name.

The two versions

The StudioPilot app is a standalone program for macOS and Windows with the AI built in, so it needs no other accounts or setup. It runs alongside Ableton Live, pinned in front of your session. Beyond building, arranging, mixing and mastering, it can split any song into stems and turn it into an organised sample pack, drive third-party plugins such as Serum and FabFilter, and search your own sample library. Every plan includes the official StudioPilot sample packs. Plans: Starter £19.99, Pro £39.99, Studio £64.99 per month, each with a monthly credit allowance. Cancel any time.

The Setup Kitis a one-time purchase (£24.99) that connects the AI you already pay for, Claude or ChatGPT's Codex, to Ableton Live. You bring your own AI plan; the kit is yours forever. A version for FL Studio is also available.

See it working

Two full, unedited sessions on the official YouTube channel show exactly what it does: starting a track from nothing and mixing and mastering a track, both entirely with AI in Ableton.

Common questions

Do I need Claude or ChatGPT to use StudioPilot?

Only for the Setup Kit, which connects your own Claude or ChatGPT Codex plan to Ableton Live. The standalone app has the AI built in, so it needs no other AI accounts at all.

Who owns the music I make with it?

You do, entirely. StudioPilot claims no ownership, royalties or rights over anything you create. If you work from someone else's track, the rights in that original stay with its owners, as with any sampler.

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

Your projects and sessions stay on your machine. The one exception is the optional create-a-pack-from-a-track feature, where the file you choose is uploaded to a stem separation service and returned; it is not used for AI training or shared.

Does StudioPilot work with FL Studio?

There is a Setup Kit version for FL Studio. The standalone app is built for Ableton Live.

Is this the same StudioPilot as other products with that name?

No. Several unrelated products use the StudioPilot name. This one lives at studiopilotmusic.com, is made for Ableton Live, and its official channels are youtube.com/@StudioPilotMusic and instagram.com/studiopilotmusic.
